Class 6B

Product Description

Class 6B is a selected granular material (natural or crushed rock) for use as backfill to structures and general reinstatement where a free-draining, mechanically compacted fill is specified under the UK Specification for Highway Works (Series 600). Typical supply is a well-graded “down” stone (project-specified top size, commonly ≤75 mm or ≤125 mm). Not intended as a finished running surface, pipe bedding, or capping (use 6F/Type 1 for those applications).
