Product Description

A versatile range of recycled crushed concrete/hardcore and processed fines produced to consistent gradings. Materials are screened (and where available, washed) to control oversize and fines, delivering dependable compaction for platforms and sub-bases, or high-void, free-draining clean stone for filter/drainage layers. Recycled options reduce cost and embodied carbon while meeting project specs when certified. Range (typical availability) Type 1 (Clause 803) Recycled — 0/31.5 or 0/40 mm sub-base 6F5 Recycled — 0/125 mm capping / bulk fill 6F2 Recycled — 0/75 mm capping / formation Clean 10/20 & 20/40 mm — low-fines drainage/filter stone Recycled Sands 0/4 & 0/6 mm — blinding, bedding, laying courses (non-spec unless certified) Asphalt Planings (RAP) — regulating layers, farm tracks (to spec) Typical uses Capping & formation over weak subgrade (6F5/6F2) Sub-base beneath roads, yards, and paving (Type 1) Drainage/filter layers, soakaways (Clean 20/40) Blinding, kerb/flag bedding, laying courses (0/4–0/6) Temporary haul roads & farm tracks (6F5/RAP) Key properties Compliance: WRAP Quality Protocol; EN 13242 DoP/test data on request (sulfate/chloride, grading, LA/ACV/AIV as applicable) Behaviour: Fines-rich grades bind under compaction; clean grades are free-draining Source constituents controlled (brick/asphalt content within spec) Coverage / quantities (rules of thumb) Use 2.0 t/m³ for fines-rich grades (Type 1, 6F5/6F2) Use 1.6 t/m³ for clean/open grades (10/20, 20/40) Tonnes ≈ Length × Width × Depth (m) × density Notes Not for structural concrete (EN 12620) or mortar (EN 13139) unless explicitly certified. For pipe bedding/surround, use washed, low-fines material to the engineer’s spec. Consider separator geotextile (and geogrid on very soft ground).
